He was imprisoned, then fined for the abduction, but also granted permission to marry. circa 28 January 1289.3 Sir William 'the Hardy' de Douglas and Eleanor de Lovaine obtained a marriage license on 18 February 1291; They had 2 sons (Hugh, a clerk; & Sir Archibald).5,2,3 Sir William 'the Hardy' de Douglas died circa 24 January 1299 at Tower of London, London, Middlesex, England.5,2,3
