     Hugh Somerville, 4th Lord Somerville was born circa 1486 at of Carnwath, Lanarkshire, Scotland. He married Anne Hamilton, daughter of Sir James Hamilton, 2nd Lord Hamilton, 1st Earl of Arran, on 20 December 1510 at Hamilton Castle. Hugh Somerville, 4th Lord Somerville married Janet Maitland, daughter of William Maitland and Margaret Seton, in July 1517. Hugh Somerville, 4th Lord Somerville died between 30 March 1549 and 11 November 1549.
