The funeral for Mary Alice Hohnstein of Southwest Portland will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday in Killingsworth Little Chapel of the Chimes. Burial will be in Rose City Cemetery.

Ms. Hohnstein died of causes related to age Sunday in a Portland foster care center. She was 89.

She was born on Nov. 6, 1900, in Lincoln, Neb., and has lived in the Portland area since 1924. She was a member of the Eastern Star.

She is survived by brothers, Con, George and John, all of Portland; and sisters, Ann Rowe and Katherine Cedarquist, both of Portland.

The family suggests that remembrances be contributions to the Urban League of Portland.

We have received word from Long Pine, Nebraska, that Uncle Henry Cole died at the home of his son, G. A. Cole, last Friday, and was buried at that place last Saturday. Mr. Cole was one of the pioneers of this county, having came with his parents in 1849. He settled on a farm in Hale township, where he lived for a good many yours. About twenty-five years ago he moved with his wife to Olin, where they resided until two years ago last spring, when they went to live with their son in Nebraska. Cole was well Known in this vicinity, and was one of our most respected men. He was an uncle to the editor of the Recorder. in 1824 at HISTORY.2
