It says that her father was born in NY, her mother in PA. I think that's her step-mother's birth place.2 She married Alfred Luke Hammond, son of Luke Hammond and Harriet Maides, on 19 October 1885 at Smith, KS. Lydia Fitch Munger and Alfred Luke Hammond appeared on the census of 16 January 1920 at Santa Monica, Los Angeles, CA; Supervisor's District 3, Enumeration District 607, Precinct 23, Sheet 10A. They were age 62 and 61, respectively. He worked in a brick yard as a laborer. She had no occupation. She says she was born in PA, her father was born in NY and her mother was born in PA. Her birthplace and that of her mother are wrong. He was born in Illinois and his parents were born in England. All correct.3 Lydia Fitch Munger died on 9 September 1933 at Inglewood, Los Angeles, CA, at age 75; She had married (2) on 3 November 1925 to William H. Busz in California, probably Los Angeles County. He died in December of 1932 and was buried in Angelus Rosedale Cemetery, NOT beside Lydia.4 She was buried on 12 September 1933 at Inglewood Park Cemetery, Inglewood, Los Angeles, CA.4

He's a farmer. Wife is Marie J., age 55, born in Illinois, parents born in England, both speak English. Her occupation is (?) maker which she does in the home. Lona C. daughter, age 26, born in Kansas, parents in Iowa and Illinois. Her occupation is unreadable.8 He appeared on the census of 1925 at Gaylord, Smith, KS.9 He died on 4 January 1947 at Smith, KS, at age 84; Family says he was the "hardest snorer", worse than Edwin Charlwood Hammond.10

Herman Gana was born on 22 June 1878 at Firth, Lancaster, NE; He may have been born in Thayer, York Co., NE, but I don't think that's correct.1 He married Cecilia Hammond, daughter of Luke Hammond and Harriet Maides, on 22 June 1909 at Lincoln, Lancaster, NE; Besides the son (Virgil Peter), they had twin daughters who were stillborn. They were buried at the Union Valley Cemetery in Scandia.The Belleville Telescope of 13 August 1909 stated on page 1 that "Married June 22, by Judge Crosley at his office at Lincoln, Nebraska, Miss Cecilia Hammond and Mr. Herman Gana. The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. L. Hammond of Scandia and is well and popularly known. The groom is a prosperous young farmer of Perth, Nebraska, where they will make their home."2,1 Herman Gana died on 18 December 1953 at Lincoln, Lancaster, NE, at age 75; Buried at Holland Cemetery, Hickman, Lancaster, NE. He married (2) Stella Gertrude Stack on 25 May 1920 at Lincoln. They had 1 daughter (Nellie Mae, b. 14 February 1922, d. 21 March 1992, married Lonnie Lee Warren on 31 December 1944 in Waco, TX).1 He was buried on 21 December 1953 at Holland Cemetery, Hickman Township, Lancaster, NE.1
